Salary Range: $29,936.77 - $44,905.17 DOQ

 GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Performs routine to semi-skilled manual labor in the maintenance of streets, water and sewer lines and similar work with other municipal structures, facilities, and grounds.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 Completion of High School or GED equivalency and three years or more of work experience in the installation and maintenance of water and sewer pipes, excavation and pavement of streets and drains, and trades maintenance of buildings and grounds. The combination of education, training, and experience should demonstrate competency with equipment operation and ability to complete assignments.

Special Requirements:

NC Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-B)

NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Water Distribution Grade C and Sewage Collection Certificate Grade I

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The purpose of this job is to coordinate and supervise the field operations within the Public Works & Utilities Department and assist the Director with the creation and maintenance of systems, and records, and to serve as the Director in his absence. This position works independently, under limited supervision.
