The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has received a subgrant application for Town of Haw River DI#1861446. Pursuant to Executive Order 11988 and 44 CFR Part 9.12, notice is hereby given of FEMA's intent to provide funding for this project under FEMA Public Assistance Grant Program.  For more information please look under the Public Notice Documents Section in the Town Documents (top orange button - right hand side) on the main page of the Town of Haw River's website.

The Town of Haw River is experiencing water main breaks throughout the town this week of Feb 9, 2026.

As temps are expected to rise over the next few days, more breaks may occur.

If you live near these areas water service may be affected. Possible discoloration & sediment

is normal after a break.

The Town of Haw River has recently completed it’s 2040 Comprehensive Land-Use Plan.  Although it has not been finalized yet, the Town will be holding a public hearing for the adoption of the plan on October 5th Town Council Meeting.  Any citizen wishing to read the plan can download it from the Town’s website in the “Town Document” section, or it’s available for public inspection in the Town Council Chambers.  Any questions, please contact Haw River Town Hall at (336) 578-0784.
