Special Meeting Notice

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special meeting of the Town Council for the Town of Haw River will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., at the Haw River Municipal Building located at 403 East Main Street, Haw River, NC 27258.

The purpose of the special meeting is for the Town Council to consider and accept the resignation of Kelly Allen as the Mayor of Haw River.

The Town of Haw River Town Council welcomes participation from all its citizens and this special meeting is open to the public. If any disabled person has a special request for a hearing interpreter or other assistance, please contact the ADA Coordinator at (336) 578-0784.

The Town of Haw River will be conducting a lead service line inventory starting on September 9, 2024.  The Town and contracters will be digging at 500 locations throughout the town.  These locations will have flyers attached to their front doors.  We are being required to dig two 18 inch holes on both sides of the water meter to identify any lead pipes or pipes with lead joints.  The holes will be filed back up with dirt and will be covered in seed and straw.
