Firefighter / E.M.T.

Announcement:

The Town of Haw River is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Firefighter / E.M.T.

 

Job Requirements:

NC Firefighter Certification

NC Emergency Medical Technician Certification

Hazardous Materials Operations Level 1

NC Driver's License

Completion of a High School Diploma or Equivalent

6 months of Fire Service Experience

Must be 21 years of age

 

Physical Requirements:

This position requires heavy lifting and is physically demanding. Employees must be in excellent physical condition. An employee must have close visual acuity as to be able to read and write handwritten and typed material, operate computer terminals, visually inspect parts, use measurement devices and operate machines. An employee in this class must be able to speak and hear clearly in order to communicate to the public and other employees as needed.

Salary Range:

Town of Haw River, Grade 17

Firefighter / EMT salary range: $34,655.38 - 51,983.08
