Asst. Finance Director/Town Clerk - Town of Haw River, North Carolina, population 2,500. The

Town of Haw River is a full service town. Responsibilities include assisting the Finance Director with planning, organizing & directing all financial mgmt, maintain general ledger, process payroll & assist with human resources responsibilities, prepare data for financial reporting, A/P, A/R, assist with utility billing and customer service. Position will also serve as the Town Clerk. Work includes extensive knowledge of the governmental accounting principles and practices of public finance administration. 

Desirable education and experience: A degree in accounting & three years of experience or equivalent combination. Bilingual- Spanish, is preferred but not required. Successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, have the ability to multitask, team-building skills and maintains confidentiality to sensitive information, as well as strong problem solving & analytical abilities.
