Asst. Finance Director - Town of Haw River, North Carolina, population 2,500. The
Town of Haw River is a full service town. Responsibilities include assisting the Finance Director with planning, organizing & directing all financial mgmt, maintain general ledger, process payroll & assist with human resources responsibilities, prepare data for financial reporting, A/P, A/R, assist with utility billing and customer service. Work includes extensive knowledge of the governmental accounting principles and practices of public finance administration.
Desirable education and experience: A degree in accounting & three years of experience or equivalent combination. Bilingual- Spanish, is preferred but not required. Successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, have the ability to multitask, team-building skills and maintains confidentiality to sensitive information, as well as strong problem solving & analytical abilities.
