Haw River Police Department Accreditation Process

June 30 2026

June 30, 2026

The Haw River Police Department is proud to announce that it will host an on-site assessment by the North Carolina Law Enforcement Accreditation (NCLEA) Program on Friday, August 7, 2026, as part of our agency’s pursuit of accreditation.

Accreditation through NCLEA is a voluntary but highly respected process that recognizes law enforcement agencies for their commitment to professional excellence. By participating in this initiative, the Haw River Police Department reaffirms its commitment to professionalism, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement of service to our community.

The accreditation process evaluates various aspects of law enforcement operations, including policies and procedures, administration, support services, training, facilities management, safety, and record-keeping. These standards are crucial for maintaining high-quality public safety services.

As part of the accreditation process, agency employees and members of the public are encouraged to provide comments regarding the department’s compliance with NCLEA standards.

Your feedback is appreciated and must be submitted by Thursday, August 6, 2026. Your comments will be reviewed and considered by the NCLEA Assessment Team.
