Lead Service Line Inventory in Haw River on 9/9/24

September 05 2024

The Town of Haw River will be conducting a lead service line inventory starting on September 9, 2024.  The Town and contracters will be digging at 500 locations throughout the town.  These locations will have flyers attached to their front doors.  We are being required to dig two 18 inch holes on both sides of the water meter to identify any lead pipes or pipes with lead joints.  The holes will be filed back up with dirt and will be covered in seed and straw.

Any findings will be documented and reported to any affected residents and the U.S. EPA Agency.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact Robert Brewer at (336) 578-5238 or by email at rbrewer@townofhawriver.com

We thank you for your help as we strive to keep drinking water safe for everyone.
