Tropical Storm Debby Response/State of Emergency

On August 9, 2024, at 12:00 pm the decision was made by Town of Haw River Administration, to terminate the State of Emergency for the town. This is to include the voluntary evacuation recommendation initiated yesterday afternoon to residents near the Haw River.

 With the levels of the Haw River continuing to decline and the low likelihood of additional rainfall in the foreseeable timeframe the decision to terminate the State of Emergency has been declared by Town Officials.

 Anyone experiencing Tropical Storm Debby issues, are asked to contact Alamance County Emergency Services at (911) for emergency services. Non-Emergency services can be requested at 336-578-4141.
