Annual Water Quality Maintenance Program

March 11 2020

The City of Burlington in a continued effort to improve water quality, will conduct a routine Water Quality Maintenance Program beginning March 11, 2020 and ending May 11, 2020. This process will involve a temporary switch from present choramines to chlorine in order to optimize water quality. The water will continue to meet all Federal & State standards for drinking water and is safe for consumption and use. During the switch, some users may notice temporary color, taste, and odor differances. This is a normal part of the process and customers should be reassured that water quality will not be affected. The Town of Haw River purchases its water from the City of Burlington.
